Grand Master Sam F. S. Chin SF Bay Area I Liq Chuan workshop
December 7, 8 & 9, 2018
"In Chinese medicine we talk about Macrocosmic energy flow, the cycle of Dan-tien and Ming Men. All Yin muscles relate to Dan-tien and all Yang muscles relate to the Ming-men. But the details are in recognizing the transitions—all the Yin muscles draw to the Dan-tien and condense to the Bone; all the Yang muscles expand from the Bone—the bone projects to the Yang muscles.
When we say Absorb and Project, it’s the flow from one hand to the other hand. When we talk about Condense Expand it means big and small —all movement is condense and expand with absorb and project. These two energies create the curve and the straight line. Because from a point, the primary movement is through rotation. First we act from the earth—the earth is where the center of gravity is; the center of it acts on our mass. The relationship of mass and gravity forms alignment—the axis. This first axis is the balance point such that everything is just that. So you must be able to balance this axis as a reference so that ALL things come out from there AND go back to there."
