ABOUT I LIQ CHUAN
I-Liq Chuan (roughly translated as "mind-body fist") is an art of cultivating consciousness based on Tai Chi and Chan (Zen) principles of non-assertions, non-resistance, harmony of yin and yang, oneness, and the present moment. As a system of kung fu, I-Liq Chuan emphasizes the development of internal power through mental attitude and awareness. The training develops sticking and merging abilities, circular spiral energy, Chin Na (locking), Fa Jing (projecting force), Chi Kung, and most importantly, integration of the mind's complete awareness in the present moment. I-Liq Chuan trains the ability to sense the opponent's intention through awareness and to redirect the force and use it against the opponent or incorporate the use of Fa Jing.
About Master Sam F.S. Chin: Master Sam Chin is an impressive man, an excellent teacher and a kind person.
He also possesses extraordinary skill in his family's art of "I Liq Chuan" translated as "Mind Strength Fist".
which is growing rapidly worldwide with Instructors and Practitioners in 19 countries.
I Liq Chuan is a synthesis of Tai Chi, Hsing-I, Ba Gua and Hakka arts and also a merging of Taoist and Buddhist teaching.
Master Sam F.S. Chin is the co-founder and head instructor of I-Liq Chuan trained martial arts since childhood by his father - the founder of I Liq Chuan, Chin Lik Keong. During the 1980's, Master Sam Chin won numerous competitions, as well as the state heavy weight kick-boxing championships of Selangor (Malaysia) in 1978. He has been teaching for over 30 years and has conducted seminars and workshops internationally. Master Chin has been recognized by the USA Wushu Kung-Fu Federation as a Hall of Fame Outstanding Master.
In August 2009, Master Sam F.S. Chin was officially named the Gate Keeper/Lineage Holder of the art by his father.
In an effort to promote grading and active membership in the I Liq Chuan Association, we will be awarding the discounts noted on the entrance fees. In order to receive the following discount pricing, you must bring your passbook and be in full uniform (t-shirt, pants, and sash).
